Welcome to SalaryUp. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

SalaryUp is an AI-powered salary negotiation practice simulator. Our service provides:

  • Realistic AI-simulated negotiation conversations with virtual hiring managers
  • Coaching-style feedback on your negotiation approach
  • Performance scoring and progress tracking
  • Practice scenarios for various negotiation situations

2. Educational Tool Only

Important Disclaimer

  • SalaryUp is an educational practice tool designed to help you prepare for negotiations.
  • We do not provide legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, or professional representation.
  • Results are not guaranteed. Actual negotiation outcomes depend on many factors including your skills, market conditions, employer policies, and circumstances beyond our control.
  • The AI responses simulate realistic scenarios but do not represent any actual company or hiring manager.

3. Account Responsibility

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
  • Be responsible for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Share your account with others or resell access
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Submit false or misleading information
  • Harass, abuse, or harm others through the service

5. Payment and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance (monthly subscriptions) or as a one-time payment (Lifetime Access).
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes do not affect current billing periods.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • SalaryUp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Changes to Service and Terms

We may modify the service or these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You may close your account at any time by contacting support.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
